Club Captains Ian Cowan and Colin Mullis sign the amalgamation document with Ladies Captain Carol Macdonald.
Please pass on my thanks to Jack for attending the Scottish Police Championship prize giving on behalf of the Grange and The Captain.
I would like to pass on my appreciation to the Grange for providing us with a first class Clubhouse in hosting our Championship.
The catering was excellent and a credit to Scott and his team.
We do appreciate the Club membership allowing us the privilege of using the Clubhouse and the ‘Medal Course’ for the four days and hopefully not caused too much disruption.
Our members were full of praise for our venue choice, I’m sure many will return of their own accord.
I wish you good luck in the forthcoming merger with the Broughty!

The final of the Club Championship between Ricky Laing and Lindsay Hutton was held on the Medal Course on Saturday afternoon in changeable conditions.
In a keenly contested match which was fairly close, the turning point came at the 12th hole where Ricky holed a monster putt to go 2 up. Another birdie for Ricky at the 16th saw the end of the match with Ricky winning 3 and 2. This was Ricky’s second victory in the Club Championship having beaten Ray Perry in the 2009 final. Club Captain Alan Orr presented Ricky with the trophy.
Grange Golf Club member, Neil Moncur participated in the Scottish Amateur Championship held at Prestwick golf course on 31st July. Neil finished a very respectable 176th out of 264 competitors, shooting rounds of 81 and 77 in extremely testing conditions.
Although missing out on the matchplay stages by 9 shots, this was a good performance on the national stage, finishing better than expected as the 235th ranked player in the event.
His other performances representing Grange Golf Club this year have resulted in an 8th place at the Angus County Champion of Champions, 10th place in the Angus County Strokeplay Championships, and tied 4th place in the Angus County Summer Meeting. Well done Neil.
